Menard County Farm Bureau® Mission Statement
" Improve the economic well-being of agriculture and enrich the quality of farm family life."
MCFB® has approximately 1,100 members. The Farm Bureau® seeks to further its members' goals by being involved in local, state, national and international issues that affect its members. The Menard County Farm Bureau® provides information to members on issues that impact them.
A nine person Board of Directors sets the policies and goals of the Menard County Farm Bureau®. Officers for 2008 are:

Annual Meeting Held in November
The Menard County farm Bureau held its annual meeting on Monday, November 19 at the PORTA High School. The meeting was in conjunction with the annual report of Lincoln Land FS, Inc.
President Robert Winkelmann presided over the Farm Bureau portion of the meeting.
Terry Entwistle, Bill Montgomery, and Kyle Winkelmann were elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors.
Robert Winkelmann was presented with a past presidents pin.
Jim Brown was presented with an award for signing the most Farm Bureau members.
Carrie Winkelmann, Ag Literacy Coordinator for the Sangamon-Menard Ag Education Partnership, gave an update on the Partnership’s activities.
Following the meeting, a presentation was given by the Menard County Tourism Council on their many activities and accomplishments.
At the reorganizational board meeting on December 11, officers were elected for 2008. Elected were: Jay Winkelmann, President; Terry Entwistle, Vice President; Terry Steinhour, Treasurer; and Bill Montgomery, Secretary.
